The Gaps Crown pinot noir exudes the personality of the place it is made-- it it stunning, complex, generous, serious-- it has great pedigree and is absolutely memorable. Deep violet in color; strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb compote the nose, layered with aromas of dark fruits, spice, and that cedar cigar wrapper with maybe a touch of orange zest. Big, rich, lush, and silky on the palate with attractive black cherry, spice, and earth flavors. Great structure and grip. A beautiful wine that gives back.
