Great 6 packs to Enjoy While Watching the Broncos in the Playoffs

What an exciting Bronco's game yesterday! So since they'll be advancing to the next round of the playoffs, our staff here at City Spirits has selected a few different six packs that will perfectly compliment next weekend's games.

Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout- 6.0% ABV- $10.49 per 6-pack

First off we've got Left Hand's Nitro Milk Stout. Some of you may already be familiar with their milk stout with it's nice creamy chocolate full body, however this Nitro Milk Stout is something truly revolutionary. Occasionally a few select beer bars in the area will have Left Hand's Milk Stout on Nitro, which means instead of using CO2 to get the beer from the keg they will use Nitrogen. The result is a more full bodied, creamy texture without having the "bite" that Carbon Dioxide gives, making this beer dangerously similar to a milkshake! Just remember to pour this beer very hard into the glass (nearly completely upside down, trust me it won't overflow) as the mad scientists over at Left Hand have developed this beer without a widget so an agressive pour puts the Nitrogen into solution.

Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale-5.0% ABV-$10.99 per 6-pack

Next up is Firestone Walker's Double Barrel Ale (DBA). If you're looking for something a little lighter in viscosity to help you wash down those wings without sacrificing complexity this IS your beer. DBA is a very clean and crisp British style pale ale although aged in Firestone's own Union barrels giving the beer additonal complexities of vanilla and toasted oak. To top it off they use English Noble hops in this beer giving it a mild hop character. This is Firestone Walker's flagship beer and has done them proud, most recently earning a gold medal at the 2011 Great American Beer Festival.

Firestone Walker Velvet Merlin Oatmeal Stout-5.5%ABV-$9.99 per 6-pack

Last but certainly not least is Firestone Walker's Velvet Merlin which is their Oatmeal Stout. A decadent oatmeal stout chock full of cocoa and espresso notes. This beer is also partially aged in bourbon barrels which gives it added complexity and a hint of bourbon among all the chocolate and coffee flavors. If sweet like Left Hand's Milk Stout isn't quite your thing, you should fret not because even though this beer is nice and creamy, it still finishes bone dry. Don't hesitate on this one because once winter is gone so is this delicious beer.
